We never take a cut of what you raise
Some PTA platforms take a percentage of every ticket sold; we don’t. Card payments go straight into your PTA’s own Stripe or SumUp account, and you pay only their standard card fees.
Even a small percentage adds up. A 4% cut of £5,000 of ticket sales would be £200 a year: more than our small school plan costs for the whole year.

Fair use
Generous limits, explained kindly
Everything is unlimited for normal PTA use. To keep prices low for everyone, each PTA has a fair share of the things that cost us money to run:
- 20,000 emails a monthNewsletters, tickets and reminders. That’s a newsletter to 2,000 families every week, with room to spare.
- 1,000 AI reads a yearReceipts, invoices and statements read for you. Everything can still be typed in by hand.
- 20 GB of storagePhotos, receipts and documents. Enough for more than 25,000 event photos at the size PTA Central keeps them.
We’ve set these well above what we expect a PTA to need. If yours gets close, we’ll get in touch and talk it through with you before anything changes.

Sponsorship
Get PTA Central free with a local sponsor
A local business can pay for your PTA’s year. It costs them the same as your plan, and it makes PTA Central free for your PTA.

A café, garage, estate agent or dentist near school: anyone who’d like to help, and be seen helping.

Give them your sponsor code
Your PTA’s 6-digit sponsor code is in your members’ area, under Settings → PTA Central account.

They enter the code at ptacentral.co.uk/sponsor, see your PTA’s name and the price, and pay securely by card.
What the sponsor gets
- Their business name and logo in your PTA website’s footer
- Their name and logo in your PTA’s app
- A thank-you in your members’ area, so the whole committee knows who helped
- A receipt by email for their records

Paying for PTA Central
How do we pay?
By card, once a year, from your members’ area (Settings → PTA Central account). Card payments are handled securely by Stripe. If your PTA can’t pay by card, get in touch and we’ll arrange a bank transfer.
Is VAT included?
Prices are per year and include any VAT due.
What happens when the free trial ends?
We’ll remind you a week before. If you haven’t paid by the end, everything keeps working for another 30 days while you sort it out. After that your site is paused, not deleted: pay and it comes straight back.
Do we pay per member, per event or per ticket?
No. Every plan has unlimited members and events, and we never take a percentage of your takings. Your yearly price is the only thing you pay us.
Are there any other costs?
Only the usual card fees from Stripe or SumUp when you take card payments, which go to them, not to us. And a domain name, if you’d like your own address.
Can we change plan?
Yes. If your school grows or shrinks, simply choose a different plan when you renew.
Can we cancel?
Yes. There’s no contract beyond the year you’ve paid for: if you don’t renew, your subscription ends. You can download your records first, and ask us to delete your PTA’s data.
What if we renew by mistake?
Tell us within 14 days of the renewal, and if your PTA hasn’t used PTA Central since it renewed, we’ll refund you in full. See our refunds policy for the details.
What does a sponsor’s payment cover?
One year of your plan. It starts when your current paid year or trial ends, so no time is wasted.
